These are the chickens who provide us with fresh, delicious, free-range, colorful eggs. They live just a mile or so from our place and when I picked up another 2 dozen the other day, they were out in the yard. I had my camera so decided to see if I could get a few pics. Little did I know that chickens love to be photographed! They came running toward me and I nearly had to back up to get them in focus.

Luckily I picked up the eggs the day before it started snowing here. I’m sure I won’t see the hens or this handsome rooster until next Spring.
