San Francisco’s de Young Museum in Golden Gate State Park is currently hosting the only North American exhibition of post-impressionist art on loan from the Musée d’Orsay. Van Gogh, Cezanne, Renoir, Degas, Lautrec, Rousseau – I could go on – all represented in this comprehensive collection. Of course, no photos were allowed of the works in this show, but after seeing the art we headed to the top of a tower to look out at the city from 9 floors up.
The entire level has windows floor to ceiling, so you get a 360° view of San Francisco. The above image is a small section showing the California Academy of Sciences, complete with sod roof.
